Thistle Farm, owned and operated by Dieter Dudy and Deb Thomas, is located on the west side of the scenic North Thompson River Valley just 16 km north of Kamloops, British Columbia.
The former 10 acre market garden was purchased by our family in 1994. In 1997, we put in an acre of vegetables and attended the Kamloops Farmers' Market. The following year we applied for organic status and achieved certified organic status in 1999 with the Shuswap Thompson Organic Producers Association. |

As demand has grown, so has our vegetable production and we now have approximately 6 acres in vegetables. Gardening has always been a passion of Dieter's and farming organically fit with our personal philosophy of promoting sustainable agriculture and protecting the environment. We attend the Kamloops Farmers' Market from May until October and sell bedding plants and a variety of fresh vegetables and herbs. We are committed to providing the community with healthy, nutritious produce and also offer a year-round delivery service. The service offers a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables and some dry goods on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, providing service to all of Kamloops and some of the outlying areas.
Dieter has been an active member of Heartland Quality Foods since its formation. |
