John Cox has been a stalwart member of the B.C. organic farming community since he moved up from California. 

Specializing in potatoes on his Westwold farm, he grows fingerlings, Sieglindes, AC Peregrine Red, Yellow Bananas, Warbas, All Blues and a host of others. 

John has sizing equipment so he can (and does) sell sized potatoes to retail customers at the farmers’ market as well as foodservice customers like Chef Mark Filatow of Details Catering in Kelowna.

John is a walking encyclopedia of the both early days of organic certification in B.C. and California as well as a direct farm marketing advocate and mentor to other farmers.  He is a strong advocate for farm to school programs and is happy to host field trips and farm tours or visit students in the classroom.
