Golden Ears Farm near Chase, BC, is a profit-share farm run by a group of young farmers in their twenties - much younger than the average age of British Columbia farmers (53.6 years).
The farm is a third generation Cavers family farm, represented by Tristan Cavers in this generation but farming with a group of other young farmers. Together, they are working towards a fully-sustainable farm, with an increasing variety of vegetables, fruit, and animals (sheep, llamas, chickens, ducks, and peacocks). The farm has close connections with recent graduates of the acclaimed Thompson Rivers University Culinary Arts program and truly enjoy the fruits of their combined labours.
Golden Ears Farm is situated in a lovely area on the South Thompson River, west of Chase. |

| Produce is sold through Heartland Quality Foods, at Golden Ears roadside stand on the TransCanada Highway west of Chase, at the Kamloops Regional Farmers' Market (Wed and Sun) and the new Chase Market (Fri).
Produce includes (in season): salad greens, herbs, strawberries, raspberries, tomatoes, corn, cucumbers, squash, pumpkins, tree fruits, and more. A favourite with customers are the fruit pies.
It is great to see the enthusiasm and cooperation of these young people as they work together in the fields, in the stand, at the markets, and in the household.
